As a young girl, Marcia Hero studied art at the Milwaukee Art Museum and later, while living in Monterrey, Mexico, she studied oil painting at the Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey. While living in El Salvador, Central America, she painted exclusively in oils. Upon returning to Milwaukee, she completed her formal study in Fine Arts at Mount Mary University. Marcia is currently an award-winning artist and exhibits throughout Southeastern Wisconsin, where she has taught several workshops on Art Journaling and Book Arts. She has served on the boards, and is a member in good standing, of the Wisconsin Pastel Artists (WPA), the League of Milwaukee Artists (LMA), and the Wisconsin Visual Artists (WVA). Marcia is also a Co-Founder of, and Partner in, the Martini Girls 4 artist group.
